natu-ral disasters to himself, and he destroyed a town
with an earthquake. The army un-der Col. Danville
bombed him and put him in suspended animation.

memories. He was experimented on as a young mutant
with TK, and in-jected with a tech-organic virus.

billion, or he'll wake the Armageddon Man.

Maeve who dies in an IRA bombing, fighting the X-Men

who can defeat Ry'lor. They send them to a temple
containing an alien en-gine which is transforming the
island. Bedlam fails to disrupt it; instead the team
is transformed, except for Dani. She tries but fails
to help; the Eternals reveal that they are leeching
her power and strike her down.

life-stories. He was an interstellar con-querer, but
when he came to earth, he turned a new leaf and tried
to help the na-tives. They turned against him, so he
killed them and has lived in solitude ever since.
He says Dani is a conduit of the infinite quantum

a boy, being saved from two battling giants.
Wisdom has been working with ex-Black Air ops to

recover the CPU from an experimental spacecraft that
crashed in Genosha. Delphi trades memo-ries with each
teammate, to prepare them. Jesse gets the knowledge of
martial arts.

Story:	Loose Ends (38 pages)
Feature Characters:	Cannonball, Proudstar, Moonstar
Regular Characters:
Guest Stars:	Rictor, Shatterstar
Villains:	Martin Henry Strong, Neurotap, Freddy;
Zellig, Blanco; Ernesto Gallegas; various criminal
Richters; Mojo (in flashback); Hanna Verschiagen,
Frocht
Other Characters:	Versucht-1 (Asahi "Hanrasha"); V-2
through V-8

	Editor-in-Chief: Bob Harras
Synopsis:	V-2 is a spike-limbed woman in a lab, who
beats on a criminal.
Shatterstar and Rictor (last seen iss. 76) have been
harassing Rictor's gun-running family (iss. 34).
Blanco offers them big money to fight, and they agree,
needing cash and smelling something fishy.
Shatterstar introduces himself as Benjamin Russell
(iss. 59-61); he still doesn't know which of his
identities is true, so he's keeping both.
Next morning (after artfully obscuring the exact
sleeping arrangements), they fight V-2. V-1 breaks in,
throwing darts and zapping bad guy synapses. He wants
to rescue V-2, even though she doesn't want to be
freed. He zaps her, to immobilize her, but
accidentally kills her.
Shatterstar hums his sword (iss. 28) and blasts an
escape route. V-1 explains: his mother, Verschiagen,
is a mutant mad sci-entist, who bore eight children so
she could tap their powers like batteries. He escaped
and is trying to shut her down. The trail leads to
Strong (Ann. 2), who now has a deformed, spider-like
mutant (Freddy) to act as his body.
V-1, Rictor and Shatterstar attack; Sam, Dani, and
James break in to help Strong, at Neurotap's request.
Strong says V-1 lost control of his powers because his
mother addicted him to an enzyme; V-3 and V-4 are
already comatose. V-1, Neurotap, Ric-tor and
Shatterstar decide attack Ver-shiagen directly, in
Germany. Rictor makes flying rock columns to take them
there, over X-Force's objections. Vershiagen and the
other V's capture them, and she starts the
power-draining process.
Sam, Dani and James arrive in time to help them break
the connections; Verschiagen implodes, and the V's die
from lack of en-zyme - a noble sacrifice.
Sam gives Xavier's card to Neurotap.

Synopsis:	Sam breaks his uncle Luke out of an
Ar-kansas penitentiary, to get the rest of the story.
Ten years ago, he was stealing a truck full of
cigarettes when his partner got shot and showed his
true, Deviant form. Luke opened the back and instead
of cigarettes, he found a Celestial Golem. He called
the buyer, and got his brother Tyler to help him. Sam,
then a boy, snuck along.
They met the buyers, Finn and Weller, de-liver the
goods, and were about to leave, but Sam found a lab
full of captive chil-dren. The Deviants want to use
the Golem to alter their DNA and make them adapt-able,
like humans. The experiment goes awry, and the Golem
attacks, while the Guthries flee. Sledge arrives and
uses an force-field exo-skeleton to defeat the Go-lem;
it explodes. Tyler makes his brother help him bury
Finn and Weller (see last iss.), and Sledge erases the
children's memories.

Chandra, and Joshua set up operations in the Amazon -
they have the remains of Reignfire.

the Deviants.
The Damocles Foundation is working out of an
underground base in the Amazon, a former Deviant city.
They have a leftover Gatherer and plan use Reignfire
to power it. Selene has brought Bobby there to stop
them, before they become rivals to the Hellfire Club,
but they are captured by the Sword.
X-Force visit Sledge's junkyard in Detroit to follow
up on Uncle Luke's story (last iss.) and finds Ulysses
and Arcadia there.
Ulysses explains: Eternals and Deviants fought for
millenia and became humanity's gods and devils. They
called a truce a mil-lenia ago. When man split the
atom, In-digo, threatened, gathered Deviants,
Eternals, and humans to form the Damo-cles Foundation,
to create a new species to control the planet.
He gets Veeg to teleport them to the Ama-zon, and
they break Bobby and Selene out of their cell. Indigo
cancels everyone's powers, fistfights his brother, and
mes-merizes Arcadia. Meanwhile, Selene uses her magic
to activate Reignfire in the Gatherer. She demands
control of the Foundation; Indigo sends the Sword, but
the Gatherer turns them into lizards. Dur-ing this
distraction, X-Force get their pow-ers back. Somehow
in synch, Arcadia and Dani destroy the Gatherer.

parents, and later attacked her (New Mu-tants 17-20)
and was dispelled by Magik's Soulsword.
Sam blasts into the bear and finds it is just a
miasma of negative emotions. Dani uses her cosmic
power, but the bear just feeds on it. Sam goes to get
Kane; Arcadia shows up and says the bear is after her
and Dani. It haunted her and attacked Sledge and
Ulysses, so she drove out to find Dani, whose memories
she shares. The bear grabs and swallows them both, and
they find themselves in a cave in an-other dimension,
with Arcadia's girlhood doll Mary Weather, who talks,
and Bright-wind, who doesn't recognize Dani.

conquer all dimensions, and has the four Danis as her
guards. She quickly neutralizes SHIELD, and the Danis
attack X-Force. James finds the real Dani, who now has
no powers.
The queen builds a dark cathedral on the Golden Gate
bridge; Dani uses her link to Arcadia to break in with
the team, but they are separated into various
alternate worlds. James and Risque see X-Force still
in Camp Verde, Cable and Sam having been killed by the
MLF. Domino and Bed-lam see X-Force in a world
conquered by Belasco. Sam and Tabitha see X-Force all
in the Weismann loony bin.
Dani sees Arcadia's imaginary friends Mary Weather
and the dragon Fenwick, who chases her, gets slain by
Cable, and changes back into Ulysses. They meet
slacker X-Force, who have surrendered to the queen.
X-Force defeat three alternate Danis, and our Dani
absorbs their powers, which sends them them back to
their own reali-ties. Then the queen shows up and
sends hordes of alternates to attack. Cable gets to
the queen, but she cuts him down and shows him
alternate versions of himself. Kale shows up with
Man-Thing, who makes cosmic Dani understand what to
do. Our Dani uses Cable's psimitar to attack the
queen; cosmic Dani adds her energy, and the queen
retreats to her own dimen-sion. Man-Thing makes our
Dani under-stand how to destroy the cathedral, which
she does, and everything is back to nor-mal, and her
minus her cosmic powers.
Bobby accidentally on purpose bumps into Julia, who
partly remembers him.
	Siryn, possessed, leaves her aunt's.
