Boomer is in her room, exploding everything sentimental, dissing her boyfriend, and cutting her hair. Beast is still testing Shatterstar, questioning his origins. He is suspicious, for one thing because his DNA exactly matches Longshot's, which isn't possible. Siryn screams in her sleep; Gambit investigates, she had a nightmare about being a captive with Deadpool (iss. 47). Warpath runs (93 mph) into the city, to meet someone from the National Council of Indian Affairs. Risque ambushes him, then kisses him and runs away. Warpath bests Shatterstar in the Danger Room (James has newfound strength and speed, last iss.; 'Star is becoming less of a killer). Meltdown confronts Blob; he laughs at her; she shoves a time bomb down his throat and starts counting. Blob surrenders, but Boomer keeps counting, until Domino asks her nicely not to kill the lard. She reabsorbs the bomb (new power), pops both Blob's eardrums, and struts away. As the women are deciding what to do with him, Mimic flies in (with newfound control) and takes him back to their employer. An uncooperative Shatterstar is called "Benjamin" by the police, who have a record on him (see iss. 46), to his great surprise. Domino refuses to speak. Meltdown tells how Crule attacked Selene, only to be drained by her, as well. Then Cable arrived with a TK bolt, but Selene manipulated his energies and knocked him down. She said there is a war coming, the Externals outlived their purpose, and Sam is not an External. Siryn suddenly remembers Deadpool in the Weisman Institute (iss. 48). Since Xavier and Cable may be compromised, she goes just with Shatterstar, who is overwhelmed with dÈjý vu and is immediately captured by Weisman.
