Synopsis:	Creed pushed Logan too far, and he's gone feral. For fun, he stalks
children on Graymalkin Lane.
	The X-Men are concerned that he attacked a prisoner, which Storm finds
egregious. Beast thinks he still has a conscience and can be reasoned with.
Psylocke senses Logan outside, but Jean won't invade his privacy. Cyclops worries
he may hurt someone else. Logan howls in the night and slashes the shrubbery.
	Xavier confers with Hudson and thinks Logan is continuing to mutate, and the
adamantium had inhibited his natural evolution. Hudson is worried Logan may go
savage like when they first met (Alpha Flight I:33).
	Logan realizes Bill, the man next door, is beating Linda, the woman he lives
with. The X-Men confront Logan, asking why he's bothering the neighbors, but he
just says he's deteriorating and thanks Xavier for trying. Bill chases Linda into
the yard, and the X-Men stop Logan from killing him. Linda defends her batterer
and orders the mutants off her property.
	Logan stays in the woods, far enough that he won't hurt the X-Men, but close
enough that they can find him. He says they'll carry the blame if Linda gets
killed.

Synopsis:	The Hudsons help Xavier and Beast test Logan and Creed and find many
similarities. Creed's brain regenerated since Logan's attack (iss. 90), but Logan
doesn't believe he's rehabilitated. Boomer walks Creed to his cell, while Logan
undergoes tests in the Danger Room. An Arctic storm triggers bad memories: Logan
had been hunted by poachers in Buffalo Wood, which is why he attacked the Hudsons
(Alpha Flight I:33). When he tries again, Xavier stops the simulation, and Logan
runs out of the building, his animal nature taking over. The monitors in the
med-lab track him.
	He smells a drunk driver (Bill, from last iss.) about to hit a biker (from
iss. 65) and tries to stop it. Bill recognizes him and runs him over, breaking
his bones and internal organs, but his healing factor has him up instantly. Bill
crashed, and Logan rescues him from his burning car.
	Bill runs. The biker keeps his distance. Logan has a beer. Heather shuts off
the sensors. Culloden was also there with a friend, cloaked and observing.

Synopsis:	Cyber (iss. 81) is chained to a wall in a Scottish prison. The Dark
Riders teleport in, kill the guards, and free him for Genesis.
	Cannonball blasts through the woods, scaring off a deer Logan was tracking.
Logan also feels a need for speed and races him on his motorcycle, dodging trees
with ease.
	Juggernaut breaks out of the med lab (cf. UXM 322) and skedaddles before
Onslaught shows up.
	Logan is at the Auger Inn, buying Cannonball his first beer because he beat
him; the kid gets drunk and moons over his girlfriend, Boomer. Juggernaut bursts
through the wall, demanding booze. Cannonball blasts into him and bounces off, so
Logan has to intervene. He gets Juggernaut to back off, while Cannonball gets
sick.
	Storm arrives and berates Logan for being irresponsible. Culloden and pal
decloak and capture Juggernaut, saying he knows too much.

Synopsis:	In the woods of the X-mansion, Logan senses something wrong: the
cairn is back (see UXM 96, 143), and a demon came through. Logan follows and
attacks it.
	Inside, the X-Men work on the Blackbird, till alarms alert them to the
N'Garai, which flees into the cairn with Logan following. Nightcrawler pops over,
realizes what happened, and follows into the cairn. They fight N'Garai in a
cavern. There's no way back, so they have to fight their way through.
Nightcrawler is worried about Logan, bestial and scary, but he says there's no
such thing as a fair fight.
	Kierrok is alerted and angry. He attacks Logan while Nightcrawler tries to
seal the portal. Logan takes Kierrok's best shots and then slashes him. Then he
and Nightcrawler stop the demons from entering the portal to earth.
	Xavier sends the X-Men to stop the N'Garai, but Logan and Nightcrawler
already dispatched them. Logan wants to return and finish Kierrok, but
Nightcrawler says that would be giving into his animal nature. Before Logan can
answer, Kierrok removes the cairn himself, willing to bide his time.
	The X-Men find Nightcrawler, but Logan has gone off into the woods.

Story 2:	What the Cat Dragged In (18 pages)

Synopsis:	Logan finds Maverick (iss. 87) wounded on the grounds of the
mansion. Beast doctors him, noticing his healing factor and Legacy Virus. He
tells Logan he was overwhelmed by villains who wanted him for testing, and Logan
is logically their next target.
	On the Canadian border at a waterfall, Deadpool is being used to find a cure
for the Virus. Slayback plays tic-tac-toe on his chest till the doctors stop it
and start more painful tests.
	Logan isn't enthusiastic about rescuing a psychotic killer, but Maverick
won't let someone else go through what they did. He locates the lab, and they
break in and free Deadpool. Much fighting while the doctors flee, activating the
self-destruct. Logan and Maverick jump down the cliff into the water; Bridge
meets them on shore, having captured everyone but Deadpool and Slayback.
	Deadpool sends Beast samples of his blood and cells; Beast investigates and
sees no cure there. Maverick plans to spend what remains of his life finding one.

Synopsis:	The Dark Riders take Cyber to Akkaba (see Cable 18), where corpses
litter the ground. Cyber is not impressed. They have to follow Candra's lackey
Jamil (X-Men Unlimited 7) across the desert through a sandstorm.
	Jubilee called Logan, and he walks through the forest for days to get to
Generation X in Massachusetts. He's not happy inside buildings now, but he agrees
to be the school's first guest lecturer, on fighting skills.
	He tells the kids not to get into a fight unless they intend to kill. Then he
plays hide-and-seek in the biosphere. Husk finds him, perfectly still; he accuses
Emma and Banshee of playing a dirty trick and then tells them to lock up. They
run scans but find nothing and decide Logan is paranoid.
	Skin and Jubilee see him sneak into the biosphere at night and fight an
energy being, the Token, and Logan defeating it just with his rage. It retreats,
right through Skin and Jubilee, chilling them to the bone. Logan leaves, and
Banshee says Tokens are wraiths, and they can't abide their own kind.

Synopsis:	Cyber fights Logan, who has adamantium claws. He beheads it: a robot
simulation. The Dark Riders monitor and see that Cyber's adamantium is pure. They
have plans for it.
	Logan, needing to walk in a jungle, goes to Manhattan. The Hudsons trail him,
wondering if they'll have to police him the rest of his life. They watch him
avoid a confrontation with Dirt Nap but then double back when the creep tries to
take advantage of a kid. He pops claws; the Hudsons intervene; Dirt Nap runs.
Logan takes them to Hopper's Coffee Shop, and they reminisce.
	In Washington, Kelly sees that Graydon is running for president. His aide,
Noah, talks to Culloden: Dirt Nap was released too soon.
	Logan smells Dirt Nap on another kid and attacks. He realizes it is a body
snatcher, and it grabs and absorbs him, transforming into his shape. Something
goes wrong, though, and Logan erupts from its belly. His healing factor made him
indigestible. Dirt Nap consumes and transforms into a rat to get away, daring
Logan to chase him to save the kid he ate.
	The Hudsons want Logan to come back to Canada with them so they can cure his
regression, but he wants to be wild.

Synopsis:	Logan, Storm, Cannonball, and Caliban climb a Canadian Rocky and
marvel at the view. They camp, eat s'mores, and get Logan to tell a story.
	Logan lost himself in alcohol after Mariko cancelled the wedding (UXM 172),
till Storm showed him a unique mutant flower. She cut it and gave it to him,
saying they must appreciate things while they last. The moral: take care of each
other, with actions more than words.
	A wounded grizzly attacks, disrupting LLL's surveillance team. Logan stops
Storm from killing it. He empathizes and feeds it, instead, while the humans wait
in a tree. Logan can't explain going feral to them, but he senses them as prey.
	Cyber figures the Dark Riders mean to take his adamantium and attacks them.
Genesis blasts him and puts him in a chamber, where mutant cybernetic beetles eat
his flesh, leaving the adamantium behind.

Synopsis:	Logan and Phoenix are in Edinburgh, having heard that Cyber escaped
(iss. 93). They go to the ruins of the local LLL office and find the WC door. He
saw Chang (iss. 5) use one and realizes they are warp chambers. They enter and
find themselves in a trashed office with corpses. The Cockney office boy, Emmet,
is the only survivor.
	Chimera closes a door, isolating Logan. She talks to her hand, which becomes
a dragon of energy and attacks with psychic poisons. Logan goes down but then
slices her hand with his claws. She retreats.
	Culloden shows up, who explains nothing but sends Logan and Phoenix away.

Synopsis:	Logan finds himself in the Princess Bar in Madripoor, not
remembering how he got beat up. The place is littered with the dead, including
Corrigan and O'Donnell, ripped apart with claws.
	He remembers Culloden teleporting Phoenix and him to Rockefeller Center with
a key and a note, but nothing since.
	Rose, barely alive, says he did this. Tai arrests him, and he submits to
being manacled in a cell. He overhears Tai arranging to be absent while somebody
kills him; Dirt Nap shows up as a rat and says he was set up. Tyger drops by and
gives him a costume and a hacksaw.
	Baran and Coy lead thugs into the prison; some have claws strapped to their
wrists and admit to the killings. Logan rips the flesh off his arm to get out of
the manacle: his healing factor will fix it. He guts the thugs; Coy shoots the
prince and tries to blame him for it all. Tyger drives up in a getaway car and
shoots Coy in the back; she already ran over Tai, who had the key and note with
the address of the LLL office. They drive there, and Logan finds the WC door
standing. He uses the key, kisses Tyger goodbye, and enters, finding Culloden
there. She offers to show him his fate.

Synopsis:	Culloden takes Logan to Akkaba and says it's his fate to cut the
threads of evil designs. She leaves to track Chimera (iss. 97), while Jamil leads
Logan to the citadel; he follows even though he knows it's a set-up.
	Xavier sent Cannonball to check on Logan; he finds the ruins of the Princess
Bar, and Tyger has to rescue him from street thugs. She takes him to the WC door
(last iss.) and sends him through with a kiss. He finds Logan's tracks in the
sand and follows, flying.
	Logan enters the citadel and finds the Dark Riders herding captives. Dirt Nap
shows up and introduces Genesis as Cable's son Tyler and heir to Apocalypse. He
shoots Logan with an energy weapon, wanting to mind wipe him and make him captain
of the Dark Riders. He has Cyber's adamantium, ready to bond with Logan.

Synopsis:	Genesis has Logan in a tank, in agony during the adamantium bonding
process. Culloden and Cannonball watch and wait for a chance to help. They see
Apocalypse's sarcophagus, surrounded by piles of smaller ones with captives ready
to be drained of their life-energies to resurrect him.
	Logan fights the process; Genesis increases the power, wanting to make him
his first Horseman, Death; excess adamantium extrudes through Logan's pores.
	Cannonball tries to bully Culloden into helping, but she fades away, saying
it is fated, and to strike when Logan purges himself of the adamantium. Unwilling
to wait, he blasts through the bonding equipment but gets stopped by Hurricane.
	Logan consciously rejects the metal, and the machine explodes; shrapnel kills
Hurricane and Lifeforce; Cannonball blasts away with Logan, wanting to prevent
Apocalypse's rise.
	Cannonball gets Logan to rouse himself, and he slices through the Dark Riders
one by one. Feral and brutish in appearance, he attacks Genesis. Cannonball opens
the sarcophagus, but it's empty. Logan tells him to apologize to Cable for
killing his son, and he walks away.
	On the other side of the world, Stick strikes Elektra and tells her Logan is
fallen. She chooses to help him.

Synopsis:	Note: continued from UXM 332.
	Phoenix uses her TK to stop stone replicas of the X-Men; Cyclops falls down a
chasm, so Logan, completely bestial and unable to speak, dives in after him.
Phoenix blasts the stone Magneto, while Cyclops hits his head on a rock, and
Logan catches him and slows their fall by sticking his claws in the wall. Cyclops
sees a carving of Xavier and then passes out. Iceman freezes the statues,
Cannonball knocks them over, and then Elektra shows herself and helps. Cyclops
revives and blasts stone Magneto, who felled Phoenix. Ozymandias retreats,
destroying the pillar upon which he inscribed history, and Iceman rescues Logan
and Cyclops, who had been hanging on it. Phoenix is able to calm Logan, and they
leave.

Synopsis:	Logan leaves the mansion and rides on top of an Amtrak train into
the city. In a bad neighborhood, a kid sneaks out at night with a gun. He and his
friend rob and shoot a drug dealer, who fires back and kills a bystander, a blind
beggar. Logan chases down one kid and slashes him, then chases the other, who
shoots him and then falls on the railroad tracks. Logan sees an Immaculate medal
around his neck, rescues him, and directs him to return to his mother, who is
crying at the crime scene. Logan collapses, and the boy helps him up. The drug
dealer shows up (he wears a bullet-proof vest) and is about to shoot, but Elektra
impales him first. She sends the kid to his mother and takes Logan, who tosses
the kid a quarter.
	No dialogue is spoken, only Elektra's voice-over, as she thinks back on her
youth. Stavros the gardener, who killed many Nazis during the war, taught her to
value life, even when it is necessary to kill. He saved her from assassins by
killing one; Elektra begged the life of the other, who became Stavros' loyal
follower.

Synopsis:	Logan can talk again. He scales one of the twin towers, while
Elektra tries to figure out how to redeem him. She asks his name, and when he
says, "Wolverine," she says that's an animal. She strikes him, saying the man in
him let his guard down. She plans to make a dojo on the roof and train him to be
a righteous warrior again. She unrolls a scroll with Chinese characters: forest,
wind. Logan says something is missing; Elektra begins his training, saying the
sword remembers, as said Shingen. She says she understands him because she lost
herself in martial arts after her father was killed. She locks him in a freezer
compartment and leaves, as a test.
	He claws his way out and remembers Ogun telling him the third character:
mountain. He takes up the sword Elektra left for him and attacks her; she parries
the sword away, and he nearly uses his claws, but that would be animal instinct.
He lets her throw him toward the sword but then replaces it into the sheathe on
her back. Test passed.

Synopsis:	Note: this is part of Onslaught Impact 1.
	Cyclops and Phoenix sent Logan to the mansion to ask Gateway about Onslaught,
even though he never answers questions. Logan finds him on the roof in the rain
and asks for a hint; he responds by spinning up a vision of Mariko's death (iss.
57). Logan falls off the roof, and Elektra grabs him. She gives Gateway a try,
but he doesn't respond until she mentions Stick: seems they know each other.
Gateway sends her on Charon's boat to see her dead father and the Hand sent to
resurrect her for Daredevil.
	Logan is sure there's a reason to relive the worst things that ever happened
to them, and he asks for a straight answer. Gateway teleports them into Xavier's
study and then has Logan relive Magneto's attack on him, and Xavier's response
(X-Men II:25). They see the psi-plane perspective, and when Xavier mind-blasts
Magneto, some sort of homunculus emerges and infects Xavier.
	Gateway finishes. Logan says Xavier's dark rage left him open, and he doubts
he can be restored.

Synopsis:	Note: this is part of Onslaught Impact 2.
	While the X-Men, Avengers, and Fantastic Four confront Onslaught, Logan helps
firemen rescue a kid and his stuffed bear in the devastation that is Manhattan.
An old man helps them find the way through the smoke and right through the fire.
Logan's flesh burns and then heals. He gets the firemen to wet him down and goes
in again to rescue the old man, who runs and then attacks him. Logan realizes
he's Stick, the dead master, here to finish the lesson in humility that Elektra
started. They spar on the flaming roof, and Stick says he can't teach Logan
anything but just reminds him not to give up. He points to where Logan should
jump in the smoke; he trusts him, jumps, and grabs a ladder. The Human Torch
finds him: everyone is gathering a Four Freedoms Plaza.

Synopsis:	Logan has taken Elektra to Canada, and their campfire is surrounded
by wolves. Logan howls, and they rush him, licking his face and waiting to be
fed. Logan takes her to the cabin where he lived with Silver Fox and goes to her
grave. He wants to be buried by her when it's his time, and he recounts his other
failed loves: Mariko, Heather, Jean.
	They bike to an airport and fly to Greece. She takes him home and introduces
him to the servants. Over lunch, Stavros talks about a Canadian who taught him to
kill Nazis in WWII. When the SS ordered Elektra's mother killed, Stavros and he
tried to avenge her and killed many.
	Stavros says that of the 6 men who killed Elektra's father, one, Sawyer, is
still alive. Elektra says she's done with vengeance, and mercy is better. She
goes to cook baklava. Stavros warns Logan not to break her heart.
	That night, Stavros goes to the wine cellar, where Sawyer is captive, and
cuts him free. Logan corners him, warning him not to call the police. The knife
Stavros used was given him by the Canadian, Cpl. Logan.

Synopsis:	The Silver Samurai finds Logan at the grave of Mariko, his
half-sister. Logan asks him what he's done to make Clan Yashida legitimate but
there's no answer.
	Bastion confers with the Japanese government, warning them of the mutant
menace. They don't welcome outside interference; he knows about Red Ronin.
	Fujikawa was ordered to turn over a new compound to the government. They have
been working to recreate Red Ronin, a giant robot with a mixed history.
	The Samurai says Sunfire's powers flared out of control, probably triggered
by Magneto's E-M pulse (X-Men II:25), and the government incarcerated him. He and
Logan easily free him (cf. iss. 56), and the Samurai admits he arranged this so
they could all stop the government using Red Ronin to oppress mutants.
	Logan goes to the Fujikawa facility and finds Yukio there, as well as the
Hand. Logan fights ninjas, but security activates Red Ronin, a bigger problem.
Able to learn by itself, it no longer needs a human pilot. Sunfire blasts it, but
it repairs itself and shoots its hand at him, trapping him. Logan has got himself
inside the robot and works his way through the security lasers to the main
circuit board. The robot freezes in mid-stride.
	Sunfire blasts himself free of the hand, but his power is still out of
control. Logan coaches him to power down, narrowly averting disaster. Logan sends
him to the Hudsons in Canada for help (see Alpha Flight Vol. II).

Story 2:	The Golden Temple (15 pages)

Synopsis:	A ronin goes on pilgrimage, fighting all the way. It's really Amiko,
play-acting. She ran away from her babysitters, the Kuans: they are childless and
set up a nice room for her.
	Amiko wants to find Logan and heads for the Golden Temple. A beggar rifles
her bag, so she hits him with her wooden sword; he backs off and offers to take
her to the temple in exchange for her gold locket. They walk along a train track,
and Amiko rescues the beggar from being hit by the bullet train. They camp, and
thugs attack them. Amiko stands up to them, and behind her back the beggar pops
claws, so they flee.
	They get to the temple, in ruins, and Logan reveals himself. He tells the
lesson: "Life means change, and sometimes it's for the worse." He returns her
locket, with its picture of her mother. They go home.

Synopsis:	Logan is in Tokyo to fulfill an obligation; he uses an image inducer
and knocks on Yukio's door (iss. 82) but smells the Hand. He breaks down the door
and demands an explanation from them but instead gets a fight.
	The special police are trailing him and demand his surrender. A sharpshooter
hits him through a window; he claws through the wall, borrows a motorcycle, and
gets away.
	Akatora is a man in a dinosaur suit, filming a movie. He arranged to abduct
Yukio and Amiko.
	Logan drives right into a Yakuza gambling den and begs sanctuary. They try to
cut him down as a foreigner, but he slashes two and demands his rights as an
adoptee into the clan Yashida. Shirohana calls a truce till his claim is
verified.
	Yukio is held and beaten in a dungeon in the middle of Tokyo Bay, while Amiko
is spoiled with sweets and games.
	Shirohana is the daughter of Dai-Kumo (iss. 33) and has poisoned Logan with
blowfish. Logan jokingly fakes death and then explains his healing factor. The
special police attack Shirohana's gambling den.
