Synopsis: Two weeks ago the world ended, then rebooted
(see the Age of Apocalypse crossover).
Jean searches the grounds of the mansion and finds
Logan, feral, angry that Sabretooth is being harbored,
and psionically invisible.
Bishop is having nightmares, from memory compression,
vaguely recalling his life in the AOA. He attacks
Scott and Hank, whom he remembers as villains.
In Wyoming, X-Factor removes a bomb from the Belle
Fourche River Dam, planted by Mystique to flood a
Sentinel plant. Mystique is attacked by a mysterious
assailant just as Val catches her. Suddenly, Alex's
power explodes, destroying the dam.
In a drainage tunnel, Marrow kills a homeless man for
trespassing. She says the Morlocks are about to move
up. She performs the ceremony of light, summoning the
Dark Beast, who was the power behind the Morlocks all
along.
Remy is comatose after kissing Rogue (X-Men II:41),
and Ororo tends him. Rogue has run off to Key Largo
with Remy's awful memories in her head. She tries to
party them away, with Bobby as chaperone.
X-Man falls to earth in Switzerland. He is such a
strong psi that he causes backlash in all other psi's
worldwide. Blaquesmith notes him as a temporal
anomaly, with foreboding.
Emplate visits Edgerton's estate. She attacks him
ineffectively, then he asks her about Chamber.
Arcade finds X-Force using his old Murderworld, so he
blows it up. (Roberto is no longer the villain
Reignfire, but is Sunspot again.) Scott invites them
to Westchester.
In Genosha, Kitty and Douglock go over the
Genegineer's records with Mutate 01, and he finds some
surprising information but is destroyed before he can
explain. It seems Sugarman has been the power behind
the mutates all along.
Near Avalon, Exodus and the Acolytes find Holocaust,
trapped in a chunk of ice, floating in space.
Hogan is a mutant with no control over his power. He
tries to find the X-Men for help but stops at a bar
for a bite to eat. His mutancy starts turning him into
a vegetable-like state just as Trish broadcasts a
story on the Legacy virus, which has spread to humans
(Moira). Anti-mutant hysteria erupts, Hogan runs from
the bar but is caught and beaten with ball bats. Amy:
"I'm curious. I mean, mutants are supposed to be real
powerful, right? So tell me -- how powerful do you
feel right now?quot;
Xavier senses his distress and races to the scene
with Ororo. He sends his astral self to the boy and
literally feels his pain as he is beaten to death. The
murderers go off, triumphant. The X-Men assemble
around the body and resolve to dream, and to fight,
for a better world.

Synopsis: Charlotte calls Warren, who flies to meet
her on the Manhattan docks, where the NYPD have
gathered. She begins to take him into a disco when a
cop pulls a gun; Warren shoots a flechette to paralyze
him, and Charlotte has to calm everyone down.
Warren apologizes for not keeping in touch; Charlotte
says she's over him. She shows him a multiple murder
scene. Mutants have taken responsibility, and she
wants Warren's advice and to warn him of public
backlash.
Ororo wonders why Remy kissed Rogue (X-Men II:41);
Logan is feral and living in the woods. Siryn arrives
to alert Ororo to a problem in the city.
Hank has taken Bishop to see the movie Pulp Fiction;
he doesn't find violence entertaining. They see a
shooting star; Juggernaut falls out of the sky,
slamming unconscious into the pavement.
Jean finally tells her father that Sara was absorbed
by the Phalanx (X-Men II:36). He has already accepted
her death (she was missing since X-Factor 12) and
doesn't let Jean blame herself. Scott and Jean are
observed.
Betsy shows up; Hank thinks Juggernaut is dead; he
wakes up and attacks. Betsy uses her psychic knife
through his cracked helmet to calm him down. He is
afraid, especially when he realizes he was punched all
the way from Canada to New Jersey. Bishop uses a power
cable to shock him and stop his rampage, thereby
blacking out the city. They ask him who attacked him:
he says Onslaught.

Synopsis: For once, Rogue is living up to her name,
touring the country in her Daisy Dukes, and Bobby (who
has bleached his hair, evidently) tags along as
nervous-nelly. They get a flat on Route 66 and she
doesn't let him use his powers: she wants to get away
from mutants, especially Remy.
Betsy and Warren work out in the Danger Room; Warren
is still shaken by the disco massacre. Suddenly Remy
wakes from his coma, blasts down the door and demands
to see Rogue. He says she was in his head, "in
danger," and passes out.
Sam has Sabretooth on a leash, trying to keep up with
him as he runs across the grounds. (Logan pierced his
brain in Wolverine 90 and cut off his homicidal
mania.) Sabretooth smells Logan; Logan isn't sure his
mind was really wiped, especially now that he can talk
again. Sam intervenes to prevent homicide, so Logan
pops claws on him. Ororo arrives and blows him back;
she wants his help investigating the disco.
Hank goes to the CNBC studio to yell at Trish because
she broke the Legacy virus story and inflamed
anti-mutant hysteria, indirectly inciting a murder
(X-Men Prime). She insists people have a right to
know, and he walks out on her.
At New York's city hall, Graydon gives a speech about
the massacre, inflaming anti-mutant hysteria.
Rogue and Bobby talk, but she doesn't want to say
what she saw in Remy's head. Bobby, meanwhile, sees
the White Queen in his head (cf. X-Men II:31).
Ororo, Logan, and Sam go to meet Charlotte, who takes
them to the pathologist Chen, who says the 33 killed
in the disco had no cause of death. Logan says
something smells funny and slashes him; Sam knocks him
aside. Sack emerges from Chen's corpse; Vessel comes
in through the wall. They say they're from Gene
Nation.

Synopsis: Betsy, having sensed something wrong with
Remy, psi-armors herself and investigates his mind.
They are in New Orleans; he detects and grabs her
angrily, snapping them both back to reality.
Gene Nation claims to be descended from the Morlocks
(drowned in iss. 293) and wants vengeance on humanity.
Charlotte tries to arrest them, and battle ensues.
Logan detects many scents on Vessel; he says he can
absorb psionic energies and use the power.
Sam blasts Sack away from Charlotte but then starts
getting absorbed himself. He constricts his blast
field to himself only, then smashes with Sack into a
nearby building. Vessel attacks Graydon's rally; Hank
arrives to save Graydon from a tossed rock; he's not
thankful. Logan goes feral on Vessel, having realized
that attacking him can release the life energies of
those murdered in the disco. Ororo brings down
lightning to finish the job. Graydon is frightened by
the display of power; Hank says it's not the power but
what you do with it.
Rogue and Bobby walk to the nearest town: Millstone,
AZ. Bobby is still seeing visions of the White Queen.
Rogue tells the waitress to say hello to Grey Crow,
who was Remy's friend. Bobby calls Emma to demand some
answers, but she refuses to pick up the phone.

Synopsis: Note: this is the 20th anniversary special
issue (since Giant-Sized 1).
The X-Men and Generation X play baseball. Bishop
steals home, and when Skin breaks the rules and uses
his power to reach him, Bishop just drags him along,
and there's a mutant pile-up on the plate. Logan and
Ororo are glad they've taken time to laugh again.
Piotr teleports in from Antarctica, carrying Callisto,
unconscious.
Marrow returns to the Morlock tunnels and takes a
subway car hostage.
Callisto wakes; she needs help stopping Gene Nation.
She explains that Mikhail teleported some of the
Morlocks away (iss. 293) but only made it to a
desolate world. The next generation grew up angry, and
Marrow led them back to Earth seeking vengeance, on
the anniversary of the Mutant Massacre (iss. 211).
Rogue calls; Remy happens to pick up the phone. She
says she and Bobby are on their way to Seattle; he
assumes she knows his secret and goes after her.
Threnody observes and alerts Sinister.
Callisto takes Ororo, Logan, and Piotr into the
tunnels; they bicker over who's responsible for the
Morlocks' problems. They find a corpse (X-Men Prime)
and a sign from Marrow pointing the way. Reverb
detects them despite Callisto's cloak, and Gene Nation
attacks. Ororo and Callisto realize it's just a
diversion and find the subway passengers running down
a tunnel. They question one, who pulls a gun and
shoots Callisto; it is Sack, whom Ororo sends blowing
down the tunnel. Marrow arrives and says she was Sarah
(Cable 15) and once believed Ororo would save the
Morlocks.
She has wired the subway passengers with explosives
and opens her chest to reveal the detonator attached
to her own heart. She says Ororo is too weak to do
what she must; Ororo accepts the challenge, plus two
bones that Marrow pulls from her body as weapons. They
dual; Ororo draws first blood and tastes it. They
continue to stab each other while Logan and Piotr
observe. Reverb attacks Ororo psionically, so Ororo
throws knives into him. Marrow is thirty seconds from
detonation, so Ororo pulls out her heart (yes, that's
right: she grabs her heart and yanks it out, still
beating!), killing her.
Callisto and Piotr share a single passionate kiss,
then she takes charge of Gene Nation. Piotr stays with
the X-Men, saying he has to come to terms with his own
mistakes. Logan reassures Ororo that killing happens.

Synopsis: Remy sits on the roof at night, brooding. He
had believed his years as an X-Man made up for past
crimes, but Rogue still dumped him (X-Men II:45).
Ororo joins him, but he changes the subject to her
recent heart rending (of Marrow, last iss.).
Hank lectures about the Legacy virus at a World
Health Organization conference in San Francisco.
Xavier, in the audience, points out that not much is
known yet, with only nine cases (*). He pretends to
argue with him, to demonstrate that the media's phrase
"potential epidemic" is premature. Majcomb points out
that the disease is rampant among Genoshan mutates.
Val gives the government response that mutates are
unique, so the disease shouldn't spread from them (but
then there's Madrox). On Muir, Moira and Excalibur
watch, surprised that the panic-defusing may be
working.
Like Jubilee to Logan, Boomer finds herself drawn to
Sabretooth, still mindless in the Danger Room... or is
he? Remy shuts off the holograms and bursts in,
wanting to see how much he remembers.
Hank drives across the Golden Gate Bridge, then
screeches to a halt when he sees Xavier's abandoned
hoverchair by the road. He finds him sitting on a rock
overlooking the city: he says he feels powerless in
the face of the virus and doubts that he can help
Sabretooth.
Remy shows Sabretooth holograms of his victims; he
apologizes, not remembering or understanding why he
did these things. Ororo interrupts, angry, before Remy
pushes Sabretooth too far, and puts him back in a
cage. (Sabretooth: "Oops.")
Hank can't say if Sabretooth is redeemable but
insists no one is purely good or evil.

Synopsis: In Central America, orphans find a man half
dead in the mud. He rises; they run and get their nun,
who brings her shotgun. He magnetically shoves it
aside and speaks in German, all to her surprise. Then
he collapses.
Four days later the fever breaks, and he finds
himself tied to a bed, so he observes, wordlessly.
Sister Maria brings food and unties him; he has
amnesia, so she lets him stay there. He shaves and
finds a young face, which somehow seems wrong.
Migdalia gives him a name: Joseph. Suddenly, they are
shot at, and Migdalia convinces Joseph to just ignore
the drug runners, like they always do.
Joseph befriends the orphans (Magneto having been
one, himself). He senses he had an evil past; Maria
says everything can be forgiven, and before things can
get romantic, hands him a cross.
A month later, Joseph is repairing the tractor.
Umberto tells him he's learning about mutants in
school. Joseph senses someone and confronts him with a
levitating pitchfork; Maria rushes over and introduces
him to Ramos. Migdalia explains he's a government
official bribed by the drug lords.
Six days later, Joseph sees the barn burning. Ramos
is there: he wants Joseph as hired muscle and has
Maria and the orphans hostage. Joseph wraps him in
barbed wire; "I will only ask this once. Where?quot; In
the church basement. Joseph flings him into the
stratosphere, then rides a horse to the rescue. The
children hear gunfire, then silence. Joseph frees
them, having killed all the drug runners mercilessly.
The orphans are horrified; he leaves early the next
morning. Maria hands him an ancient Time magazine with
a cover article about the X-Men, to show him there are
others like himself.
Maria talks to the priest, wondering if she has
unleashed Magneto on the world again. He says she
instead gave a man the faith he needed, and a second
chance.

Synopsis: Sam flies over to the Massachusetts Academy
to see his sister. He's politely distrustful of Ms.
Frost (a villain from his New Mutant days). Husk
greets him by play-attacking him; then Sam says he's
come on family business.
Their sister Joelle has run off with Preacher, a
mutant who has visions and paints them. He is also a
member of Humanity's Last Stand, an anti-mutant
survivalist camp.
Sam and Husk get Ororo, Bishop, and Logan to drive
them to their old Kentucky home, where they all get a
big welcome. Mama is worried about Joelle and also
Josh, who is feeling trapped there.
Sam and Husk want to handle the situation themselves,
so they attend a rally at the camp. Garibaldi speaks,
saying mutants are unnatural, and dangerous because of
the Legacy virus. Preacher speaks, telling his vision
of a mutant war (the AOA). Sam wants to force Joelle
to leave and starts arguing with her after the rally.
She is jealous of her siblings, special because of
their powers. Husk wants her to make up her own mind
and goes to investigate backstage.
A Nimrod Sentinel attacks Sam; he blasts, which
reveals him as a mutant, and the mob gangs up on him,
but he blasts away, crash landing back home.
Garibaldi takes Preacher to meet Trask, the leader,
who is hidden in a cavern. Husk observes but gets
caught by Garibaldi, who beats her up; Preacher can't
get Trask to make him stop.
Mrs. Guthrie wants to call the sheriff, but Sam gets
the X-Men to suit up. He finds Husk and frees her, but
it was a trap, and they're both caught.
Preacher, freaked, tells Joelle they're leaving, and
she realizes her sister is the one he saw beaten.
Bishop shows up, and Preacher at first protects Joelle
from him, but then realizes he has also seen the AOA.
Then Nimrods arrive.
Ororo and Logan attack to free Sam and Husk. Bishop
absorbs a few shots, then blasts the cavern,
collapsing it on the Nimrods. Garibaldi warns the
X-Men to leave before the authorities show up, and
they do. Bishop asks Joelle about Preacher, who has
also escaped and is painting.

Synopsis: Sabretooth has reverted to type. Xavier
tried but failed; Sabretooth just wants to get free
and get bloody.
Jean had been regularly scanning his mind; instead of
the pastoral scene set up for him in the Danger Room,
he perceived carnivorous mayhem. Bishop wants to put
him down like a mad dog; Scott says if they kill
whomever they don't like, the killing never ends.
Bishop goes off to clear his head, still swimming with
AOA memories. Scott and Jean realize his problem is
similar to theirs after spending a lifetime in the
future (The Adventures of Cyclops & Phoenix
miniseries).
Val contacts Xavier: she is taking charge of
Sabretooth, who cackles at Xavier's defeat. Jean tries
to comfort him, but he says he has work to do.
While Betsy observes from the control room, Boomer
visits Sabretooth, furious that he duped her. He
mentions her drunk of a father and her own
questionable past (with Vanisher, Fallen Angels
miniseries), to goad her into foolishly throwing some
plasma bombs, and he gets loose!
Betsy rushes in and fights Sabretooth (redux of iss.
213), while Boomer calls for help. Betsy is forced to
use her psionic knife, but Logan's claw reconfigured
his brain, so nothing happens. Sabretooth slashes
away, while Boomer, her power depleted, can only
watch.
X-Men come running, too late. Creed has escaped, and
Betsy is eviscerated.

Synopsis: Note: this follows UXM 328.
Creed has just escaped the X-mansion, and he runs
through the sewers. Caliban catches up to him first,
and they fight (redux of New Mutants 91). Creed says
Caliban is just another one of Apocalypse's killing
machines (see X-Factor 50), distracting him long
enough to pull down a power cable and electrocute him.
The original X-Men are on their way to Creed's
apartment. Neither Jean nor Xavier can get a
telepathic fix on him since his lobotomy (Wolverine
90), so Bobby and Scott enter cautiously. Jean scans
the city, finding ample aggression and anguish. Val
has alerted the police and the Avengers; Xavier vows
Creed will never hurt anyone else.
Creed crashes into his apartment, knocks Bobby down,
and is about to slash Scott's eyes, but Bobby, iced up
with vicious spikes, grabs his hand. Creed breaks free
and jumps out the window before they can capture him.
In Union Square Park, he takes a hostage and forces
Bobby to ice over the subway entrances so he can run
away. Scott sends Jean to the next stop, where Creed
dumps the hostage and jumps on a train (23rd and
Park). Hank also boards, and battle ensues, while the
other X-Men rush to cover the 28th and 33rd Street
exits.
Hank reminds Creed that he came to them for help, but
all he wants now is blood, and he smashes him down.
Scott arrives and blasts him, but he breaks through to
an access tunnel, then up the side of a building.
Warren, also manipulated by Apocalypse, catches him;
Creed slashes through his wing, and they drop, into a
rooftop water tank; Bobby ices Warren and the debris
before it hits the civilians below, but Creed gets
away.
Val, Xavier, and a lot of police are on the way.
Scott has Bobby take Warren to a hospital, while they
chase Creed, still going uptown.
The NYPD find a dropped Amtrak schedule and realize
Creed is trying to get to Boston. Jean realizes he
wants to kill Jubilee and Generation X.
Creed gets to Grand Central but realizes they won't
let him on the train in full-feral fervor, so he
decides to kill them all. Jean catches him and
threatens to telekinetically break every bone in his
body. Creed asks her to examine his mind to find out
why he can't control his blood lust. She refuses,
saying he's obviously just garbage, then throws him
through a wall and snaps one of his legs. Scott blasts
him, but Creed manipulated him into the right position
and slashes him, then pulls him through a window.
Scott blasts him on the way down; Hank catches Creed
with his knuckles; Creed pulls him over the ledge, but
pulls out Hank's hair and falls till Jean catches him.
Scott tells him he's just too weak to make himself
better; Creed shouts he's a force of nature; Jean
can't hold him, and he drops to the pavement, where
the police surround him. Jean links Scott's mind to
him; he realizes he has a death wish and tries to talk
him out of it. That doesn't work, so he blasts him
with a tight beam, square in the forehead, knocking
him out. A policeman approaches; Creed jumps up again,
and many police guns are fired.
As he dies, he picks up Scott's broken X symbol and
throws it down in front of Val, who has the body
loaded in a containment unit and sent to Bethesda.
A policeman starts to give Hank a hard time; he
flashes his Avengers card, and then Val takes charge.
She thanks the X-Men; Scott says Creed won in a way,
because he got the death he wanted.
Note: Creed actually survives and is forced to work
for the government (X-Factor 119).

Synopsis: Dr. Strange sees in his scrying pool that
the X-Men are in over their heads. Warren goes with
Logan to a Chinese restaurant, to get a mystical
elixir to save Betsy because she is a ninja. Warren,
feeling he should be at her bedside, decides Logan is
crazy; he tells him he's "too self-absorbed to see
other possibilities" and makes him sit down. He knocks
the teacup out of his hand; the steam from the tea
forms itself into a ninja. The restaurant patrons
flee; Logan and Warren, with his damaged wing, try to
figure out how to fight it.
It blasts Logan, but he isn't phased. He tells Warren
the thing is sensitive to metal, so Warren slices it
with his wings, but the pieces, hydra-like, regenerate
into copies of itself. Logan kills an old woman who
has been watching, then reaches into her corpse and
pulls out Gomurr, who sent the ninja to test them.
Logan tells him they want some Crimson Dawn from the
Ebon Vein; he says that's madness; Logan pops claws
and forces him to help. Strange appears: he's coming
along.

Synopsis: Logan and Warren change into traditional
Asian garb. Logan slashes through Strange's astral
form, killing a sentient shadow, an Undercloak, behind
him. More Undercloaks attack; Gomurr gets a dragon
mask to flash-fry them all, then takes them through
the mask's mouth and into a mystical world.
Remy stands over Betsy's bed, remembering how she
probed his mind (iss. 324) and realizing that her
death would keep his secret. She worsens; he calls for
help and gives her CPR.
Strange realizes how badly Warren is injured, but
before he can rush him to a hospital, they come across
Tar, Proctor of the Crimson Dawn. Gomurr begs a favor
and gets disintegrated. Tar sends neon creatures to
attack.
Hank and Xavier work on Betsy, but she's not
responding.
Logan battles Tar's creatures, while Strange and
Warren reach the Ebon Vein (a glowing, orange-red
sphere, with black veins). Strange reaches into
Warren's chest and pulls out Betsy's soul, the part of
her that she entrusted to him. He inserts it into the
Vein, and in Westchester, Betsy suddenly comes alive.
Warren, Logan, Strange and Gomurr are returned to
earth; Betsy has a mark.

Synopsis: Note: this takes place after X-Men II:50.
Hank's lab has exploded; X-Force goes to rescue him
and put out the fire. He doesn't provide much
explanation (and he is actually the Dark Beast, see
X-Men Unlimited 10).
Emma is visiting the New York headquarters of Frost
Enterprises; she finds Bobby in her office, which he
has iced over.
In Colorado, Bishop still doesn't trust Remy, and he
doesn't care. Xavier ponders them, realizing he
doesn't rally know his newer X-Men. They are all
visiting Warren, who is taking time off to nurse Betsy
back to health. He is hostile to Xavier, reminding him
of times he manipulated people's minds, but really he
is just tired and needs a break.
Emma makes a joke about interior decorating (rumors
have it that Bobby is gay); Bobby wants her help
developing his powers. When she refuses him, he
freezes the blood-flow to her brain; he still has a
gaping hole in his chest and is afraid to unfreeze. He
demands she help him.
Scott takes Jean to a pristine desert canyon, which
he is certain was Post's proving ground. No trace of
it now. Scott is worried about Onslaught.
Xavier has Banshee and Jubilee keeping an eye on
Emma, but they let her deal with Bobby on her own. He
has her bound in ice but forgets her feet and gets a
boot on his chin. She disappears; Bobby sees illusions
of his father, his ex-girlfriend Opal, and Hank. But
he won't be distracted. Emma proved he has more power
than he has ever used (iss. 313); she says
(Glinda-like) if that's so, then he can change back to
human form. He's scared, but she pushes him to do it,
and he survives.
She says she was hurt by the loss of the Hellions
(iss. 281, of course), and was angry with Bobby when
she realizes how much unused potential he had. But he
passed this test, and best of all, he did it on his
own.

Synopsis: Preacher is a mutant artist who paints the
future (see '95 annual). He has retreated to an
isolated cabin and painted pictures of X-Men, then
realizes that Bishop goes with Shard. He lights a
match to destroy his work, then returns to the world
to try to prevent the tragedy he has foreseen.
Federal agents reach the cabin and retrieve some of
the paintings. They had previously failed to retrieve
Forge's data (X-Factor 123). The general in charge
authorizes the capture of Preacher and Shard.
Ororo and Bishop fly to Las Vegas, his hometown fifty
years hence, to meet Shard and Wildchild. Shard
wonders why Bishop hasn't tried to see her yet. He
tells Ororo she isn't real, but just a recording, and
when he meets her, he is cold to her. Ororo and
Wildchild go off to a casino, to give them some time.
Shard remembers how they fought on the mean streets
of Vegas. When their friend Hancock was killed, young
Bishop manifested his power and blasted the
assailants. The XSE recruited him, and he insisted
they take his sister, too.
She realizes he won't accept her, so she starts to
leave, when Preacher shows up. Bishop recognizes him
as a member of Humanity's Last Stand ('95 Annual), and
then has to stop Shard from blasting him. He shows
them his tattoo of them running from the Hound, just
as the real thing attacks.
Bishop uses guns, to no avail. Shard stuffs her hands
into the Hound's skull to stop him; he clicks off her
holographic emitter, and she disappears.
Bishop, unconscious, remembers fighting alongside
Shard. Ororo wakes him; the Hound, Shard, and Preacher
are gone. Bishop says they have to retrieve Shard,
because she has memories of the future.
In a secret federal lab, Shard's data is downloaded,
which will painfully destroy her. She resists; then
the X-Men burst in. Hound counter-attacks, programmed
against all their mutant powers. Bishop blasts Shard;
free of her containment unit, she blasts her own
projection gauntlet. She says the danger dies with
her.
Bishop blasts Hound; the Feds have already evacuated,
and the lab self-destructs. Ororo lifts Wildchild and
Bishop, and Hound leaps after them, but he cannot fly.
Aboard the Blackbird, Shard reappears, more solid
than ever. She has become an independent, photon-based
lifeform.
Preacher, now one-eyed, has found another retreat and
paints the future (Onslaught). He is working for
Bastion.

Synopsis: Note: this takes place after Wolverine 100.
Logan has gone feral to defeat off Genesis, and run
off. Xavier goes to Casablanca to hire the
interdimensional firm Landau, Luckman and Lake to get
information. Bobby tells Sam not to blame himself;
Jean telepathically locks on to Logan, and they go
after him.
Xavier stays to parry with Culloden. He manipulates
her mind to let her think she has killed him,
interested in seeing how far she would go. Then he
paralyzes her hands and demands information.
Logan sniffs around a castle, falling through a trap
door and into Ozymandias's lair. He was a king, but
Apocalypse enslaved him. He chisels pictures of
Apocalypse's future on the walls of his prison, which
he doesn't understand. He demands Logan explain why he
is there, but then Scott arrives and blasts him. He
tells him Apocalypse is dead (X-Force 18), but
Ozymandias says he is eternal. He strikes the wall
with his mallet, and stone versions of various mutants
emerge. The X-Men attack; Bobby freezes their insides
so Scott can shatter most of them with one blast. But
the Wolverine statue knocks Scott down an abyss, and
the other X-Men are captured.
