She struggles free, realizes she has no TK, and climbs to free another traveler. They touch; she realizes it is Scott, and that they are both in different bodies with no powers. At least they still have their psionic bond. Apocalypseıs goons invade; Rachel kills them all, but then Chıvayre shows up. Jean and Scott help knock him out, then Rachel explains she had them brought here. The Askani have all been killed, and she is dying. The Phoenix force left her 80 years previous. She saved Brian Braddock from the timestream (Excalibur 75) and arrived in Apocalypseıs time. Mutants rule, killing weaker beings at will. She founded the Clan Askani (³outsiders²) to restore Xavierıs dream. Apocalypse is burning out host bodies more and more quickly, planning to use Nathan as the perfect host. So Rachel got the ill baby (X-Factor 68), created a backup clone (Stryfe, see Cable 8), had bodies created from the DNA of the Summersı descendants, and had Jean and Scottıs minds pulled into them. She adds their powers to these bodies and tells them to take care of Nathan, who has been taken to safety by Boak, an android; then she passes out. Chıvayre returns, announcing the destruction of the Askani (just like the XSE, Scions of Genetics, and Xavier Collective). He has Nathan. Scott jumps in, blasts Chıvayre, and rescues his son. He has Jean open the pipes and flood the building, washing them to safety. So, in bodies generated from their distant descendants, Scott swims to shore with the infant Nathan, son of Jeanıs clone, and Jean with the aged Rachel, daughter from an alternate timeline. Taking the kids on their honeymoon.
