What follows are all Fan Art submissions (grouped by subcategory), and the total votes each received. The submissions / entries are ordered the same way as on the 2002 Submissions page, and the number to the left of each entry is the number of popular votes (your votes) each entry received. Subcategories also had 'Abstain' at the top, and the number beside that shows how many people didn't vote for any of the entries. Reasons to abstain could vary between the voter feeling they shouldn't vote due to lack of knowledge or experience or because they were competing (although it is legal to vote for oneself), or because they felt that none of the entries deserved to win.

-New Nightcrawler: Tarzan Time [...] - One word - WOW! -Dark Beast [...] - This took a *very* close [...] New Nightcrawler: Tarzan Time [...] - going to draw for marvel.. New Nightcrawler: Tarzan Time [...] I guess I'll go with this, though the Gambit is equally good, I think, in use of lines and motion. i liked the charcoal nightcrawler much better, but my #2 is New Nightcrawler - [...] then Dark Beast (good detail). [...] New Nightcrawler: Tarzan Time [...] comment: oh my! really sweet drawing of nightcrawler here, reminds me of the work of cully hamner...
-Rogue (frisbee) [...] - This finally got a 1st from me [...] for a few reasons. First, while the artist looks like they didn't spend as much time, it just plain seems they didn't have to. This reflects more talent in many ways. Also, the lighter touch was fitting for such a scene of carefree fun. I like that the artist *did* take the time to color the scene and, although Rogue's calfÊseems just a little large proportionately, it's really a quality piece of art and captures the character well. What a fun piece of art! -Marrow [...] The work on Marrow'sÊbonyÊgrowths looks like it was painstaking, [...]Ê -Psylocke [...] - This was one tough category. These are the three I pondered over originally and all are nicely done, [...] This looks like the artist put some time into it, [...] Elektra by Vale is the best... [...] Marrow [...] Proportions are just a tad odd, but overall of the finalists, I think it's the best. the rogue piece is very good - the proportions on her waist and legs are a little bit exaggerated, but not bad. [...] Marrow [...] comment: -rowwwr!!! vale needs comics work NOW!!
-Rage [...] - A very nice capture of a classic scene. Good use ofÊoriginalÊcolors, too, to represent the "rage" but without the expected overuse of red in most "rage" pics. -Storm [...] - This is very pretty and shows real promise from the artist.ÊÊIt strikes meÊas beingÊintended as a black & white sketch for depth because of the way the character is drawn. [...] -A Night At The Creeds' [...] I like the clean lines, though [...] This scene needed color. A Night At The Creeds' [...] - going to ink for marvel? A Night At The Creeds' [...] Again, the guy has an odd style, but it's recognizably HIS, and the level of sheer *detail* in this [...] makes it a clear winner (to me). Storm is by far the hands-down winner for me in this category. night at the creeds is second, [...] Storm [...] comment: the most "innovative" piece, really energetic, the feeling of a storm brewing... excellent!
-New Beast: Beast on the Prowl [...] - I remember this being a tough choice because both were decent pics, but with aÊdifferent style. I finally decided [...] iI feel it shows more qualtiy work in its style. -Beast\'s Profile [...] - Not bad at all, [...] Definitely a nice job, though. i like the clarity and coloring better on the profile than on the New Beast pic. New Beast: Beast on the Prowl [...] there's all sort of primal energies coming together in this piece!
-Polaris: 'Hormone Inducer' [...] - Both of the Polaris pics are decent, but this one struck me as the best artwork. -Polaris: Original X-Factor Uniform [...] - A close 2nd choice. -Gambit's Daughter, Kayo by Mel Miller - [...] Originality is good, but [...] the two polaris pics are a toss up for first - they are a lot alike, though i like hormone better. [...] Polaris: 'Hormone Inducer' [...] i reallyhad a tough time decideing between the two polarises, but the first one was really a "hormone inducer"!!
-Kayo and Sabretooth [...] This is not my taste, but it's great! A sense of humor combines with good artistic balance and basic characterizations. Originality points, too.Ê -Deadpool & Siryn [...] Cute, but some of the proportions are a little off and coloring is less qualtiy work than my 1st choice. NextX-Era Shadowcat, Wolverine and Jubilee [...] (He's got an odd style, but a sure hand; doesn't look amateur) DP & Siryn is well drawn and colored - a fun piece. [...] Kayo and Sabretooth [...] comment: trully delightful piece, sabes is just brimming with his trademark flair :)
-BAMF! [...] - Beautiful artwork here again. I remember thinking that the Archangel pic was also quite good and having a tough time choosing one between these two. Jill is a talent. Archangel by Jill Johansen - great detail BAMF! [...] Colors are darker, but the movement, again, is why I chose this over Warren (which is static). Bamf is also stellar. Archangel's face is just not right. [...] Archangel [...] comment: i was really wowed by this piece, this guy should go professional!!
-Phoenix by Jill Johansen - This art is absolutely phenomenal. It really is professional quality and is something I would pay for, on the spot, if I came across the opportunity. -Mystique by Jill Johansen [...] the quality of work was also good. Storm by Jill Johansen - Something about Storm's skin looks wrong in this, but it's also quality work. [...] -Dark Phoenix by DkPhoenix - Not bad, [...] it's an interesting look and good effort. Phoenix by Jill Johansen Colors are rich, and I love the sense of *movement* she gives. All her art is good, but I think this was the best of the three. Jill's work is fabulous, so of course Phoenix and mystique take 1 and 2. Storm's cellulite loses to the Dark Phoenix work. Mystique [...] comment: the one i trully feel gives the feel of the character...
-Summers and Significant Others [...] - The sole competitor and DkPhoenix did a great job of creating a "Sims"-like group. Summers and Significant Others [...] comment: beautiful work on the females, but the male figures needed much more work...
-Stephen Dorff as Gambit [...] - although Gambit is a favorite of mine, it wasn't at all hard to convince myself that I'm still voting fairly in that this entry obviously took a lot more work and effort than the others and withÊvery impressive results. I'd love to see the picture Mel started with, but I'm sure a lot was done to this to get it to this point and it really looks like Gambit to the most minute detail of eyes, costume, mask, even hair and 5 o'clock shadow. -Scott [...] - More very good work, [...] A good eye, [...] Stephen Dorff wins hands down - a great piece of work. [...] Stephen Dorff as Gambit [...] comment: a really great photo manip!
-Sarah Michelle Gellar as Rogue [...] -ÊThere is careful attention to detail here as the right individual strands of white hair are skillfully done and I like the red highlights. The green eyes could have used a little more of the same attention to detail, but are still nicely done as well. ÊI also thought it was a nice touch to pick the actress that was so highly rumored to be in the movie, to show that she would have looked good in the role. -Anna Paquin as Rogue [...] - Not bad and interesting work, but looks more foggy [...] -Tammin Sursok as Rogue [...] I've seen a *lot* of Rogue streaks painted into a lot of models' and actresses' hair. This one not only stuck with a monotone grey, but didn't even clean up the greyed out "bleed" onto Tammin's forehead. [...] Although i cannot stand Sarah Michelle Gellar, the mods were much better on that piece of work than on the others. the Anna Paquin piece is good, and the coloring was more skillfully done [...]
-Accidental Interception by Puguita - This came off as the best effort of the three to me because it looked the most plausible, almost like a real poster, [...] Finally and Stay were both good pieces, but Stay seemed to have a lot of washing out of faces. it was overdone. Finally was much better tone-wise. [...] Finally [...] too cute for words, and really moody
-Partners in Danger by Lyssie - This took time and care. It's done with good balance and an artistic eye for even the smaller details. Nice work! -Mystique in Sojourn [...], a decent effort -Beast vs Dark Beast Wallpaper [...] - This is grainy and the edges of the characters weren't cleaned up nicely. [...] Mystique in Sojourn [...] - really hot! Mystique is a great piece of work, even given the kinkiness. Partners in Danger took a lot longer and was better put together (smoothed edges etc) [...]
-Stormy Storm [...] - This is as good a Web doll as I've seen! -Evolution Rogue doll [...] -Evolution Rogue2 doll [...] - Both of these Rogue dolls were decent, but too similar to choose between them. EvoRogue was good. StormyStorm gets #2 (because Wanda isn't in the running) [...] Stormy Storm [...] comment: the animation effects clearly mark this as a clear winner!!
