Synopsis:	NOTE: the regular series continues with a new team, after the Age of
Apocalypse's finale (X-Men Prime).
	A jet containing Alex crash lands in Tokyo airport. The rest of the team,
tracks him and is attacked by Tatsu'o's Cyber-Samurai. Polaris puts them all down
with an E-M pulse.
	Alex is messed up. He vaguely remembers destroying a dam in Wyoming and being
kidnapped in Canada. Scarlett (from Meltdown) shows up and explains that she was
taking him to Genosha for his own good, when he woke and caused the plane to
crash. He refuses her help and wanders the city aimlessly.
	In Albany, Random gets a mysterious call, and we learn that Vera is a just a
construct made from Random's own goo.
	Tatsu'o meets with the assassin Fatale, who has been sent to prevent Alex from
going with Scarlett.
	Mystique is on the team to avoid jail-time and has implants to keep her in
line. Kyle is on loan from Dept. H. Rahne has left to go to Scotland (Excalibur
90).
	X-Factor, Scarlett, Fatale, and Yukio all track Alex to Club Kaboom, which has
been living up to its name since his arrival. Lorna tries to get him to put on
his containment suit, but he refuses. Fatale then stabs him in the back.

Synopsis:	Fatale fends off X-Factor long enough to walk away with Alex's body.
He wakes in the hold of a ship, bound in coils that absorb his energy, which is
out of control. Yukio had been able to track Fatale, and tries to free Alex.
	Mystique and Lorna assault Tatsu'o in his bedroom, for information about
Fatale, and he directs them to the ship. Meanwhile, Kyle tracks Alex to the
docks, with Forge.
	Fatale attacks Yukio; then Alex's power overloads, exploding the ship.
X-Factor rescues Alex from the wreckage, and Yukio emerges wet but alive.
	Alex, no longer in control of his power, dons his containment suit, last seen
in Uncanny 251, Nov. 1989 (?).
	Scarlett reports to her boss and creator, the Sugarman (from AOA).

Synopsis:	X-Factor returns to Washington. Val has drafted Mystique into the
team, to avoid jail, and Forge has implanted her with a device that causes pain
if she mimics any X-person for longer than 30 seconds.
	Fatale reports to her boss and creator, the Dark Beast(from AOA).
	X-Factor moves their HQ from Georgetown to Falls Edge, VA. Since Alex is out
of control, Forge is taking over as team leader. Alex visits Guido, who is in a
coma (since iss. 111). Kyle has an incipient crush on Val. Forge replays his
experiences in Vietnam for the nth time. Mystique begins testing and manipulating
everyone.

Synopsis:	Alex revisits the Alaskan coast where he lost his parents, and finds
that his brother has followed him, to help. They drink in a cabin Alex had built
there and in a local bar, talk, and beat up some local bruisers.
	Mystique tries and fails to get around Forge's security systems. He,
meanwhile, is in a holographic representation of the Southwestern desert when
Naze appears with a vague but urgent warning. Mystique interrupts, and Forge
reminds her that Destiny predicted they would be together.
	Random is revealed to be under the control of the Dark Beast.

Synopsis:	Aurora, a mentally unbalanced French-Canadian, attacks Kyle, angry
that he left her, and now able to focus her light as concussing force.
	Forge is fixing Bishop's holographic projector, which contains the essence of
his sister Shard.
	Dark Beast is monitoring Random, whom he has sent to capture Alex, who had
been a prelate in the Age of Apocalypse timeline. Random decides he likes Lorna
better than the Dark Beast, but he is being physically controlled by him.
	Northstar and Puck arrive to stop Aurora from killing Kyle. He talks to her,
explaining that for a while his mutation had made him handsome, and they had been
in love (Alpha Flight 102-130). When his face went ugly on him again, he left
without explanation. Aurora doesn't buy this one, and attacks him again. Mystique
impersonates the handsome Kyle and calms her down, but he reveals the trick, and
she overextends her powers and collapses. Northstar takes her back to Canada.

Synopsis:	Haven is accosted by Roma, who tells her she has caused the Adversary
to be reborn (he had been killed by Forge and the X-Men in Uncanny 227).
	A Sentinel attacks X-Factor in the new HQ (Forge's idea of a pop quiz). Via
Random's glasses, the Dark Beast observes all, and plans to either capture or
kill Alex.
	Havok finally blows the Sentinel to bits, but not before Kyle is thrown into
Forge's lab, where he meets the Shard hologram and falls in love.
	Forge realizes that the Adversary may be back. Naze, in the Southwestern
desert, prepares to face the Adversary again, since he knows Forge is not ready.
He and Roma team up and start to drive cross-country.
	Fatale forges Scarlett's name on a note to Alex. He goes to meet her and find
out what is going on and is attacked by Random.

Synopsis:	In the desert, Naze battles and is defeated by the Adversary, leaving
Roma to contact Forge.
	While working out with Lorna, Forge is attacked by an invisible agent.
	Random battles Alex and believes he killed him. He breaks contact with the
Dark Beast, only to find out the hard way that Alex is not dead. They pummel each
other, and Random claims to be doing this against his will, and that he is not
really like he is. Havok brings down the building, and Random emerges with a
slimmer body and knocks him out. Fatale ports in and ports back to the Dark Beast
with Alex. She has already forged a note from Alex to Lorna, saying that he needs
time alone.
	Roma opens a portal to Falls Edge and contacts Forge, but the Adversary
thereby learns his location.

Synopsis:	Kyle takes Shard joy-riding and tells off Lorna when she tries to
stop them.
	Forge prepares defenses against the Adversary, but Roma warns Forge that
technology cannot defeat him.
	Believing Naze to be dead, the Adversary casts aside his talisman, but Naze's
hand then reaches up from the dust and grabs it.
	Sabretooth had been wounded (in his 1996 one-shot) and taken by the government
for rehabilitation. But he breaks out of his medical tank, attacks Val, and is
knocked unconscious by the guards just in time.
	Shard and Kyle and are attacked by the Friends of Humanity in a mosh pit, and
Shard knocks them out.
	Lorna cries about Alex a bit, and then decides she has better things to do
than wait around for him.

Synopsis:	Forge has ignored Naze and Roma's advice and prepared technological
defenses against the Adversary, which he gets through by temporarily possessing
Mystique.
	Sabretooth is fitted with a state-of-the-art restraining collar. Val learns he
is to be a member of X-Factor and is furious.
	Weapons prove ineffective against the Adversary, who traps Roma and kills
X-Factor, just as Forge's fellow soldiers were killed in Vietnam. Forge still
refuses to fight magic with magic, and loses his bionic hand and leg. The
Adversary leaves to destroy the world and promises to return and kill Forge last.
Naze then appears, wanting to prepare Forge to fight the Adversary mystically.

Synopsis:	Forge dreams of his experiences in Vietnam and realizes the Adversary
had been there, too. He finally agrees to reclaim his heritage as a mystic, and
Naze takes him to the Southwest to prepare him while Roma distracts the
Adversary.
	Val goes to her boss, saying Sabretooth should not be made a part of the team.
He responds by ordering Sabretooth to kill her, which he cannot do because of the
restraining collar. Val is ordered to accept him into X-Factor.
	The Adversary fells Roma and attacks Forge, who realizes that he must unite
magic with technology, to create order and oppose the Adversary's chaos. He uses
the spirit spell and his mutant-power-negating gun (Uncanny 185) to return
X-Factor's souls to them, and the Adversary is defeated.
	NOTE: a team pin-up follows.

Synopsis:	NOTE: new looks all 'round: Lorna with short hair, Forge with a buzz
cut and moustache, Kyle with an earring and stubble.
	Val has a lead on the man who attacked Mystique in Wyoming (X-Men Prime) and
tells Mystique, who is impersonating Forge.
	Lorna trains with Kyle, who is concerned because Shard has not been seen since
the Adversary's attack (iss. 120).
	Mystique has gone alone to a government base, where she finds many dead men
and is attacked by Sabretooth (the father of her child Graydon Creed). X-Factor
arrives, and Polaris restrains Sabretooth. Val explains that he has a restraining
collar, but Sabretooth explains that they were never supposed to see what they
have seen and must now die.

Synopsis:	Sabretooth leaps past X-Factor to attack the Hound, a genetically
enhanced government mutant hunter who attacks them all. Polaris drops a few tons
of metal on him, but that doesn't hold him long.
	Back in Virginia, secret agents break through Forge's security and tap into
his data banks, but Shard stops them.
	The Hound has been modified to kill all mutants against his will. Polaris
stops him with a mega-blast that leaves her glowing with energy. Forge taps into
the computers, and gets the name Rory Campbell (currently working with
Excalibur). He is interrupted by government stooges with big guns. X-Factor is
ordered to leave the building and ask no further questions. When Val returns a
few days later with Kelly, the whole facility has been covered-up and replaced
with a farm. Sabretooth warns Val that someday soon the government might fit her
with a restraining collar, too.
	Graydon is running for president and gets a large cash donation from Harper,
who is working with the Hound program.

Synopsis:	X-Factor trains in a virtual reality New York, year 2013. The program
goes awry, however, when Forge is able to "kill" the Blob and Sabretooth
Wolverine. Shard is also pulled in, and Kyle stops Sabretooth from attacking her.
	Alex is an unconscious captive of the Dark Beast. Random tells him he is going
to protect Polaris, but Fatale reminds him that the Dark Beast expects him just
to spy on X-Factor. Lorna welcomes him as a friend.
	Val reports to her boss, and chooses not to tell him about Shard.
